This Saturday we leave for summer camp! Please plan on being at the church by 6:00am.

Please bring or wear your swim suit with you on the bus. We will not be setting up for camp until later in the afternoon. Wade has also requested that everyone bring a milk jug with frozen water in it to drink.

Remember that Parent's Night is Friday July 25th. If you are planning on coming up please contact Jacquie Milner at 277-6578. She is planning Friday night’s dinner she will need a head count and will also need help with getting the food up to camp.

Please note that the September outing we will be participating in the Greater Salt Lake Council Jamboral September 12th and 13th. The registration cost will be $20 if paid before July 19th. After July 19th the cost will go up to $25. Thus, if you want to participate in the September outing please get Nancy you $20 before July 19th.

Parents are encouraged to come on Friday and spend the day with their Scout

Parents planning on staying overnight at Bear lake should make their reservation now at a local camp ground or hotel.

Monday August 11th: Backpack check and Camping Prep

Monday August 15th through 17th: Uintas Backpacking at Christmas Meadows or Naturalist Basin

Monday 18th: Cook off potluck


July 2010 National Jamboree Information

2010 Jamboree (July 19th to August 5th -- approximate dates)


Expected mandatory cost is $2,500.00 per Scout which includes airfare from SLC back east, touring historical and educational sites and museums around Washington DC and Philadelphia (and perhaps Boston and New York), hotel, food, the Jamboree itself, a day at King's Dominion theme park and the return airfare to SLC. An estimated additional $500.00 will be needed (uniforms, patches for trading, souvenirs, and required pre-Jamboree training and campouts).

So the total cost is about $3,000.00 per Scout. A $250.00 deposit will hold your space. Remaining $2,250.00 will be is due no later than December 2009, with benchmark payments of around $100.00 a month between now and then.
