This Troop loves getting up early. Whether it's to leave from CUMC early for camp, or to watch a sunrise, 5:30 AM is our favorite time of day (I'm just glad it's not 4:10 AM -- 4:10PM is our favorite time around camp however. Especially at 4:10PM when some of us can be heard shouting: "What time is it?" "It's 4:10!!!!" "4:10? THAT is my favorite time of day!!")

42 of us headed for the lake at 5:30 am. There one of the Lifeguards met us and after lifejackets and paddles we were off in the two warrior canoes.

Another 5 of us headed into the mountains west of camp on mountain bikes to catch the sunrise.

What a beautiful sunrise it was! Just fantastic.

Today will see a variety of troop contests and games -- frozen T-shirts, watermelon, and water pistol ping-pong ball games among others.

Tonight is our formal Troop campfire with games, skits and songs.

Tomorrow morning 11 of us are in charge of the Camp Hunt flag ceremony. Our SPL Eric is going to sound reveille, and ten other Scouts, chosen at random from about 20 who volunteered, will raise the three camp flags.
