An early morning start for Tristian, his dad and a couple of other Scouts who chose to participate in the 5:30 am Sunrise bike ride up the mountain to the west of camp. I hear the view of Bear Lake at sunrise was spectacular up there.

The rest of us didn't get up until the trumpet sounded reveille an hour later.

The Camp Hunt Staff does an excellent morning flag ceremony, even when dampened by a bit of rain. Before noon the sun was out and most of the troop were racing each other in the 22-seat war canoes.

The Camp Director, Mr. Eborn, accepted our invitation to have dinner with us. (Thanks to the Cobra patrol for an excellent alfredo pasta with meatballs and breadsticks dinner.) He's a life-long Scout and Scouter who has the pleasure of having his family with him at camp. Their eight year old daughter has grown up at camp, every summer having 300+ Boy Scouts sing happy birthday to her. Like the rest of the camp staff he's truly interested in the success of each Scout. After dinner he gave an inspirational talk about our upcoming Order of the Arrow election, and gave us permission to have the OA Call Out ceremony as part of the entire camp-wide campfire on Friday night.

The water front competitions were held last night after the end-of-day flag ceremony. While I regret to report our narrow losses in the Pirates of the Caribbean and Belly Flop contests, I'm pleased to report that Troop 410 won the greased football contest. Much celebration took place back at camp, late into the night.
