While the natural beauty of the waterfront, especially shortly after sunrise, as in the photo above, is truly stunning, the photo to the right is my personal favorite so far.

The Senior Patrol Leader with his assistants, and the seven Patrol Leaders meeting in conference to review the successes and shortcommings of the prior day and, with the advice of their Scoutmaster, to organize the day's activities to be certain each and every Scout gains maximum value from the day..

Troops like 410 are ideal for young men to gain the leadership development challenges and experiences that present themselves in these meetings and throughout the day.

Two terrific campfires last night; one by the Camp Hunt Staff that's still being talked about today -- the cavemen, the "stolen wallet," the missing bowls, "As clean as Scout can get it."

For those of us who have been going to camp for awhile (my first was the summer of 1968, and I was on the camp staff from 1973 to 1983) much was familiar good fun; bringing back lots of good memories.

For most of the younger Scouts it was all brand-new; and watching their reactions was even more fun.

Our second campfire was our own back in camp. I'm confident the "Repeat After Me Song" One Hen, two Ducks . . . will be long remembered, if never sung again. The Troop 410 Scouts concluded the campfire with an excellent flag retirement ceremony -- which, in accordance with United States custom and tradition, requires burning the flag.
